We Serve
The Terence and Jill Smith Foundation
Giving and serving are vital to being obedient to God. While we waited we served. Jill and I had a life of service prior to meeting. From serving in the U.S. Marine Corps to coaching and training hundreds of visionaries on how to develop nonprofit organizations, and many other voluntary projects in between, expanding our life of service was necessary for our marriage.
The Terence and Jill Smith Foundation is an operational, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
Our mission is to combat the epidemic of loneliness and social isolation—an issue impacting over 1 in 3 U.S. adults today and leaving nearly 52 million people feeling disconnected. Whether single or married, veterans or civilians, many individuals are silently struggling with the pain of separation and lack of meaningful support. We are committed to helping restore connection, strengthen relationships, and build communities of belonging through God’s truth, love, and practical outreach. Guided by the Word of God—‘It is not good that man should be alone’ (Genesis 2:18)—we strive to ensure that no person walks through life isolated, but instead finds hope, healing, and community in Christ-centered fellowship.”
